Cookie and Browser Storage Notice
Effective
Current approach
Pure Joy does not currently load nonessential analytics, advertising trackers, cross-site behavioral advertising, or session-replay tools automatically on the public site or customer booking experience.
Because no nonessential analytics or advertising tracker loads automatically, the current site does not display a cookie-consent banner. This does not prevent browser controls from blocking or clearing site data.
Operational technologies we use
- Staff authentication session cookie. The staff app uses an essential session cookie to keep an authenticated staff session and send the session identifier with same-origin staff requests. Signing out ends the active session under the authentication system’s behavior.
- IndexedDB staff cache and identity marker. The staff app stores a limited offline-capable query cache and an identity marker. The saved cache excludes an unlocked acting-member identity. The app clears this data on authentication failure and login transitions, and browser controls can clear site data.
- Local storage display preference. The staff app stores a small list-or-board display choice and may temporarily read an older identity marker while migrating it to IndexedDB. Browser controls can clear this site data.
- Square Web Payments software. Customer and staff card-entry flows load Square’s secure card-entry software when card entry is used. Square handles card-entry and ordinary device or network information. Pure Joy receives a token and stores a Square card reference, card brand, and last four digits.
- Cloudflare operational logs. Cloudflare delivers, secures, monitors, and troubleshoots the website and apps. Operational records can include request route, time, response status, request identifier, and infrastructure or security metadata. Application logging is designed to redact query strings, and these logs are not used by Pure Joy as advertising analytics.
- Private customer action tokens. A private customer link can contain a token that authorizes a specific action or view without a customer password. The token is not a cookie, but it grants scoped access. Customers should keep the link private; the application enforces token validity and use limits.
Fonts and the optional map
Pure Joy uses locally hosted Fraunces and Libre Franklin fonts. Rendering text does not make a request to Google or another remote font provider.
The location page offers an optional map. The browser contacts Google only after a visitor selects “Load Google Map.” Google can then receive ordinary request, device, network, and map-interaction information. A separate directions link contacts Google Maps only when the visitor follows it.
Your choices
Browser controls can block or clear cookies, IndexedDB, and local storage. Blocking essential storage may prevent staff authentication, offline staff features, saved display preferences, or other features from working correctly.
Visitors can use the location page without loading the Google map. Square’s technologies apply only when Square card entry or an external Square page is used. Private links can be avoided by contacting Pure Joy, although some online customer actions may then be unavailable.
Before we add nonessential technologies
Before Pure Joy adds nonessential analytics, advertising pixels, targeted advertising, session replay, or similar browser technology, we will review the provider, purpose, information involved, recipients, duration, and provider use; update the Privacy Policy and this notice; and add consent and preference controls when required. Rejecting nonessential technology will not block core booking unless applicable law permits and the notice clearly explains otherwise.
